Nina F. Saberi
A veteran of the telecommunications and Internet industry, Nina Saberi has extensive experience as an early-stage investor and board member and as an entrepreneur and venture-backed CEO. Ms. Saberi founded Castile Ventures in 1998 to bring capital, deep industry expertise and hands-on management experience to a new generation of entrepreneurial businesses. She currently participates on the boards of Aurora Networks, PhotonEx, Premonitia, Quantiva and Stargus, and was responsible for Castile’s investment in Sonus Networks.

Ms. Saberi joined the venture community as general partner of OneLiberty Ventures following a highly successful tenure as president and CEO of Netlink Inc. Under her vision and direction, Netlink became a leading network infrastructure provider with a global customer base including major telecommunications carriers and large enterprises. Netlink was acquired by Cabletron in 1996, affording substantial returns to its investors and ranking among the top acquisitions of the year.

Prior to Netlink, Ms. Saberi held a general management position at Amnet, a company she was instrumental in turning around by leveraging OEM relationships with IBM, HP, Racal and BBN to fund new development, resulting in the company’s sale in 1994. Before Amnet, Ms. Saberi managed an international joint venture for Data General, and held senior hardware and software engineering positions with BBN and Avanti Communications.

Ms. Saberi holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island and a CSS in Management and Administration from Harvard University. She is a member of the executive committee of the Massachusetts Telecommunications Council and chairs the membership and public communications committees.
