The company was created by a partnership of experts in the fields of neuroscience and clinical psychology from Greenleaf Medical and CFG Health Systems.

Greenleaf Medical, based in Palo Alto, CA, is a leader in the application of virtual environments for treatment of a wide range of neuromuscular, cognitive, and behavioral disorders. Dr. Walter Greenleaf is a world-renowned pioneer in the use of virtual environments in behavioral healthcare.

CFG Health Systems is a physician-owned and -operated organization that provides comprehensive medical and behavioral health services. The company maintains a staff of more than 600 professionals and is responsible for healthcare management at scores of facilities throughout New Jersey and the Delaware Valley.

InWorld was first used in residential care facilities for teens more than two years ago and was found to be a successful treatment option, making it possible to engage patients in the therapeutic process in ways that not only enable therapy, but facilitate faster progress.
