A second-generation venture capitalist, Don possesses seventeen years of venture capital experience in Silicon Valley. As RWI Group’s Managing General Partner, he has overseen the firm’s investments in over thirty-five private companies. An active participant in Silicon Valley's investment community, Don consistently invests in companies that use technology to provide solutions for existing or emerging markets. He has worked closely with a broad range of technology companies, many of which have become industry standards. Currently, Don serves on the Board of KhiMetrics, Inc. and DexCom, Inc. Prior to founding RWI Group in 1995, Don spent a decade working with his father, Donald L. Lucas, at Sand Hill Financial Company. During Don's time there, Sand Hill backed numerous technology leaders including Advanced Fibre Communications, Inc., Cadence Design Systems, Inc., Macromedia, Inc., Oracle Corporation and medtech investments including Aksys and Coulter Pharmaceutical. Don is an avid fly-fisherman and his favorite lure is the Royal Wulff. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Santa Clara University.
